Centennial Colts vs. Lambton Lions

Overview

Centennial College brought me on to produce highlight coverage of a varsity baseball game between the Centennial Colts and the Lambton Lions. My goal was to capture the rhythm and intensity of the game, while showcasing the skill, focus, and sportsmanship that defined the matchup.

Creative Direction

Covering a live baseball game meant anticipating key moments and staying adaptable throughout. I used a combination of handheld and long-lens shots to follow the action tightly—whether it was a critical pitch, a stolen base, or reactions from the dugout. Beyond the plays themselves, I focused on the atmosphere around the diamond: team dynamics, crowd energy, and the quiet tension that builds between innings. In post, I emphasized pacing and clean transitions to reflect the strategic flow of the game.

Outcome

The final edit delivered a sharp, engaging highlight reel that captured both the athleticism and spirit of the day. Designed for Centennial’s digital platforms, the piece strengthened the college’s athletics branding and provided a lasting showcase for both teams’ performances.
