Overview
“Dance! Dance!! Dance!!!” was an Afrocentric nightlife event hosted by Uncles of Toronto — a brand known for throwing dynamic parties rooted in Afrobeats, Amapiano, and AfroRnB culture. The goal was to capture the essence of the event in a short, high-energy recap video that could both preserve the memory of the night and serve as a marketing asset for future promotions.

Creative Direction
I approached the edit with an emphasis on rhythm and visual pacing, using handheld motion, saturated lighting, and overlays like glitch textures and graffiti-style type to mirror the kinetic energy of the dance floor. A scratched-film texture treatment helped reinforce the raw, nostalgic edge of the night.

Outcome
The final 30-second cut offers a fast-moving, visually rich slice of the event — designed for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. It evokes both the atmosphere of the room and the spirit of the brand: bold, inclusive, and unapologetically celebratory.
